I Was Told To Pump My Brakes (Part Six)

 Coming through on this Monday morning doing my thing, naysayers told me to pump brakes.

They told me to "slow my roll" but I'm up in here because I've got soul per James Brown and Bobby Byrd or even Eric B and Rakim you heard? I ignored all the fakes!

I didn't pump brakes but sometimes an abundance of caution is exercised like Covid pandemic terminology; fools rush in, soon they're some of the first fallen.

I actually had to pump brakes in some circumstances that were debatable; I caught myself before I moved in purposely stalling.

Peeping game per Trump mentioning the National Guard to Baltimore and Chicago, I knew how it would go! I wasn't enmeshed in the drama that some of these folk orchestrate.

It's all game and Trump like jokers are changing the rules; it's all just smoke and mirrors meant to obfuscate.

It's all game so beats bump and this good word is dropped as we proceed and continue doing our due diligence!

It's all game from the streets of Atlanta to Ukraine and even the Gaza Strip, some like Trump / Putin and Netanyahu need to pump brakes our constituents know what the deal is!

But many are intoxicated, drunk on that bliss of ignorance type of energy / vibrations!

No good ones like Beach Boys or even Roy Ayers mentioned or lasting emotions..

..like devoted fans; no, they need to pump brakes it's hitting different maybe just paradoxical humanity! 

Eyes shut / blind heart and closed mind, damn! brakes already pumped? somebody will understand me!

Dipping Through : Seeing Whats Up / What It Do (Part Ten)

 

Check us out!  we’re coming through  / dipping through on this Fabulous Friday, even though the science dropped is appropriate for any time frame! 

Flashback Friday energy is also exhibited when we run a play, staying grounded with boots on the ground running a ground game when we’re dipping through, not trying to play a mind game... 

...especially after being caught up in the system  / matrix out in a storm on these Throwback Thursdays and Flashback Fridays.  

Raining yesterdays?  that’s what it seems, like its even when a naysayers plots and schemes were like Trump Insurrections when they’re dipping through even though they’re supposed to be new and improved; I peeped game looking at previFabulousous episodes / plays! 

My brain? scattered thoughts ran amok out there in a cusp of solitude; thoughts were lewd like I was weeded or on some schrooms asking myself is there a bridge across forever? 

The reign began with a drizzle so I had to be shrewd / use discernment and  get out of the inclement weather but it seems the strange remains, damn! will it be forever?  

That bridge? I didn’t burn it I’m trying to take it to the bridge like on a James Brown record! 

Knowledge is dropped by O-Zone when he’s dipping through accompanied by the alter ego O-Dizzle with the digital crate digging coming through like Bobby Byrd on a James Brown record! 

Its all game, let the records reflect it that’s why I stay on the move! dipping through, intergalactic, out in the universe where stars die?  

That’s what it seems like in the hood or even here in Atlanta supposedly the new Hollywood so what’s good? some are out here looking for the bridge across forever, was it all a lie?  

We kept on running even though it got lonely out there, being taunted by players about unanswered prayers!  

We’re still dipping through on local,  national, international and intergalactic frontiers! now we’re back down to earth; jetlag led to a tipsy skyline in Atlanta with plenty of levels  / layers.  

Bobby Byrd - "I Need Help" Part 1 & 2

Digital Crate Digging Continues as this O-Dog Day Party transitions into the Saturday Night Fever!!  I was checking my files, ran across this feature I had called What I Listened To At Work.

This song  stood out;  Bobby Byrd  with "I Need Help" Part 1 & 2. I guess I didn't expect to hear it!! I was listening to  Atlanta's 89.3 WRFG that particular morning. They have a program during the week from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm where they play jazz, funk,hip hop old and new school, house, drum and bass, soul music; whatever!!

It tripped me out when  they put on James Brown's big homie Bobby Byrd, talking about he need's help!! James Brown ad-libs in the background and you know that James Brown band is tight!! 

I could visualize yourself back in the day; dressed up in a polyester suit with some gators on, Dax or Murray slicked waves in my hair and a Gangsta brim on,  riding down Broadway in Louisville in a Brown Bros. Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham!!

What? It Seems Like I'm Still Going Through The Healing Process PT.2

The cliche? no honor among crooks and thieves, but I didn't roll like that.

Dressed like crooks though,  rocking Adidas per Run DMC, baggy jeans, polo shirt and a Kangol hat;  I've got soul like that.
